Crossroads Duo/Rocky Rhodes band

“Crossroads Duo” is a compact, experienced and popular live guitar & keys duo, suitable for all occasions- weddings, private parties, corporate functions, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Mike and Jeff share lead vocals as they perform a wide variety of classic rock, dance and pop songs to suit all age groups, and are adept at creating the right music mix for your enjoyment. Custom backings create a full sound, and over 100 artists are covered with over 5 decades catered for- 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and now. 

“Rocky Rhodes Band” is a dynamic four piece completely live classic rock band (drums, bass, guitar & keys) featuring 4 vocalists. Suitable for any big occasion, Jeff, Mike, Greg and Nige are experienced in making your next event a memorable one. Very popular for weddings, clubs, pubs, corporate and live rock events, and reasonably priced, the full band specialises in a good percentage of kiwi classic rock as a point of difference. 

"Pineapple Lumps Show"- Rocky Rhodes has now developed a tribute night of kiwi rock where they can perform a large segment of Kiwi classics with a few Aussie hits thrown in, and does this under the name "The Pineapple Lumps Show".


“No Exit Band”- Is another highly experienced four piece live band but specialising in classic rock, newly formed by Neil Pascoe (Thames) former guitarist/main vocalist frontman for Rocky Rhodes, with Mike on keys/vocs, Greg bass and vocs, plus Bevan (Tauranga) on drums.

This band gigs mainly at the Mt Mellick bar in Mt Maunganui, but also the  Junction Hotel in Thames & Jack Dusty's in Otumaetai,  and has an enthusiastic following in TGA  with regular gigs  on either Friday or Saturday nights at pubs, or private bookings.  Again classic rock with a slightly harder edge than Rocky Rhodes, this band prefers the pub atmosphere.

 “Crossrhodes Keys Duo” formed late 2023,  consists of Mike Lynch (lead vocals and keys) with keyboard maestro Paul McIsaac, and they can play a huge range of music suited to chartered clubs. Paul has awesome abilities to copy any style and instrument so you won't miss the  guitar!

“Mike Lynch Solo” here Mike Lynch (lead vocals and keys) performs alone with full custom backing tracks, a wide range of music to suit clubs or pubs. Small footprint and the ability to play as loud or soft as you want.

“Rock, Paper, Scissors, Fire” is a local Huntly live band, consisting of Morgan Lewis (Gat/vocs), Mike on keys, Greg on bass and Nigel drums. (Po backing up when needed)

This combo brings a younger approach to classic rock, with Morgan spearheading the group and choosing songs of his generation. Also this is the line up for the popular Electric Blues nights at Huntly RSA every 3rd Thursday night! Great for private gigs wanting a huge breadth of music!

Rockin' thru 2024! 

Lineups- Crossroads Duo/Trio, No Exit band, Rocky Rhodes band, Crossrhodes keys Duo, Mike Lynch Solo.

Current venues we often appear at are Hamilton Workers and Cossie Clubs,  Skycity Casino Vue Bar, Junction Hotel- Thames, Mt Mellick Irish bar at the Mount, Jack Dusty's at Otumaetai, plus Huntly RSA.

We're also available for private events such as weddings, corporate events, birthdays and anniversaries. 

The main lineup is Mike & Jeff in the duo, (Gaylene makes it a trio), then Greg (bass) and Po, Nige or Ronnie on drums to fill out the 4 pce. 

Paul McIsaac on keys combines with Mike to form Crossrhodes Keys, or Mike can perform solo if needed also.

Neil Pascoe on guitar and lead vocals (original band member) fronts his own excellent 4 piece classic rock band “No Exit” which now contains ¾ of the original Rocky Rhodes lineup. 

We also have back up bass players so are usually able to field a band no matter what happens!

Since 2010 the duo and band combos have performed in a staggering total of over 90 individual locations- we're always keen to travel within reason!

Our "Pineapple Lumps" Kiwi/Oz show (70's and 80's) was great fun to put together, and we've used the new songs extensively in our normal gigs. Andrew Brown has put together a demo track from our first Huntly intro gig which is online now in our Options page!

With our latest P.A. purchase we now have a very sleek, compact Bose system for both line-ups, not only quick to set up, but takes less room.
