“No Exit Band”- Is a highly experienced four piece live band (originally a 3 pce in the 1980's) and  specialising in classic pub rock,  re-formed by Neil Pascoe (Thames) former guitarist/main vocalist frontman for Rocky Rhodes, with Mike on keys/vocs, Greg on bass and vocs, plus original Bevan Carlyon (Papamoa) on drums.

This band gigs regularly at the Junction Hotel in Thames, Jack Dusty's in Otumaetai, Biddy's in Hamilton,  plus Backyard Bar in  Whatawhata, has an enthusiastic following, and will take private bookings.  This band prefers the pub atmosphere, and will soon appear at Rangiriri Hotel for 2 "Sunday Sesh" gigs at the end of May and early August in 2026.

“Mike Lynch Solo” Mike Lynch (lead vocals and keys) performs alone with full custom backing tracks, a wide range of music to suit clubs or pubs. Small footprint and the ability to play as loud or soft as you want. 

Since 2025 has played regularly at Taupiri Tavern on Friday nights and this continues in 2026. This year has appearances at The Backyard Bar Whatawhata & Skycity Casino coming up, plus many Saturdays (March to June) at Rangiriri Hotel.

“Garry Spain Solo” Garry Spain (lead vocals and guitar) performs alone with full custom backing tracks, a wide range of music from the 60's upwards. Currently seen regularly at Taupiri Tavern on Friday nights, (see gig calendar) also at Huntly Country club among others.

“Garry Spain & Mike Lynch Duo” Mike and Garry have joined together for a few events, and specialise in 60's and 70's nights,  looking forward to 2026.

 “Crossrhodes Keys Duo” formed late 2023,  consists of Mike Lynch (lead vocals and keys) with keyboard maestro Paul McIsaac, and they can play a huge range of music suited to chartered clubs. Paul has awesome abilities to copy any style and instrument so you won't miss the  guitar!

“Crossroads Duo” (currently in hiatus) was a compact, experienced and popular live guitar & keys duo, however Jeff Stewart (guitarist) and Liz have recently emigrated to Australia to be with their growing family. Best wishes from us all for their future!

“Rocky Rhodes Band” (Currently in hiatus) has also disbanded for the above reason, but ¾ of the original lineup- Neil, Greg and Mike, now appear in No Exit, and Mike and Greg form half of the “house band” at the monthly Huntly Muso Club evenings .

"Pineapple Lumps Show"- Rocky Rhodes developed a tribute night of Kiwi and Aussie rock, and did this under the name "The Pineapple Lumps Show". Many of these songs are now performed with the No Exit band.

Rockin' thru 2026! 

Lineups-  No Exit band,  Mike Lynch Solo, Garry Spain & Mike Lynch Duo, Garry Spain solo.

No Exit is the main live band- Neil Pascoe on guitar and lead vocals (original band member) fronts the excellent 4 piece classic rock band “No Exit” which now contains ¾ of the original Rocky Rhodes line-up. We have just recorded a demo track of 8 songs, check it out on this site!

Current venues No Exit often appear at are-  Junction Hotel (Thames) , Jack Dusty's at Otumaetai, Rangiriri Hotel, plus Biddy's in Hamilton.

Mike Lynch Solo features live keys, vocals and full custom backing tracks, appears at Taupiri Tavern, Rangiriri Hotel, Skycity Casino and Backyard Gastropub, plus also takes private bookings for chartered clubs and private functions.

Guitarist/vocalist Garry Spain also teams up in a duo with Mike for some events, but mainly gigs solo (and sometimes with a band as well), sharing many live music Friday nights solo at Taupiri tavern.

Also Paul McIsaac on keys can combine with Mike to form Crossrhodes Keys, an unusual combo of 2 keyboardists. 

Since 2010 the various combos have performed in a staggering total of over 100 individual locations- we're always keen to travel within reason!

Our "Pineapple Lumps" Kiwi/Oz show (70's and 80's) was great fun to put together, and we've used the new songs extensively in our normal gigs.
